Ireland already has two national treasures: pints of Guinness and Fontaines DC. This Dublin quintet, which, incidentally, includes a Madrid native on guitar, Carlos O’Connell, has perfected its refined post-punk style and released what is probably the best album of the year, the band’s fourth album: Romance.
Any track on the album can become a cult single, from the brilliant “Starbuster,” to “Favourite,” to “In The Modern World”… a true lesson in the direction of quality alternative music.
