Bloc Party are an English rock band that was formed in London in 1999 by co-founders Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack.Their current lineup also contains Louise Bartle and Harry Deacon.
Moving from hooky post-punk to ambitious genre-mashing – and back again – adding atmospheres drawn from post-rock and electronic textures to their style. Bloc Party’s artistic restlessness has served them well since the early 2000s.
